Focusing on sustainability, Primar Ibérica has reduced plastic in several of the packaging of the products it distributes.

Different teams in the company work actively to achieve a lower impact of our brands on the environment. This is why the thickness of the plastic film that closes the trays of the Groet and Ameland cheese slices has been reduced.

The amount of plastic used in format trays for the hospitality industry has been reduced by 15%.

As for the Eatlean brand of high-protein, low-fat cheese, the thickness of the plastic has been reduced in all items and the zip closure has been removed from the 350g block formats. Additionally, Jakemans balsamic caramels, which are individually wrapped, use a biodegradable, non-polluting casing.

La Mère Poulard biscuits, apart from using cardboard in their main packaging, use 100% recycled and recyclable plastic in the inner wrappers that contain 4 biscuits. This avoids working with the molded plastic tray, which is much more difficult to recycle. Likewise, the 70g bags of the American Jelly Belly candy have also undergone a change in the thickness of the plastic and the transparent window that allowed the candies to be seen has been eliminated, this in order to contaminate less as it is another type of plastic.

Virtue, the brand of clean and natural energy drinks, contributes a portion of its profits by supporting the World Land Trust NGO dedicated to the conservation of plants, animals and natural communities in the jungles of tropical areas. With their partners, they plant trees, protect ecosystems and ensure the conservation of endangered species and support local communities. It is worth mentioning that Virtue cans, as well as the 400g Breda butter cans, are made of aluminum and are therefore infinitely recyclable.

The Italian company Vitavigor continues to invest to maintain an offer of breadsticks and snacks that are always sustainable with a cardboard bag and recycled plastic. On the other hand, the number one Cathedral City cheddar cheese, is produced in a plant that works with Biomass boilers and avoids the production of 22,000 tons of carbon per year. 80% of the heat in the factory comes from renewable energy. On the farms where the milk is collected, 1,400 solar panels have been installed, reducing CO2 emissions by 1,000 tons per year.

If it's good for the environment, it's good for everyone.
