To start talking about the Dziugas brand, we have to go back to Žemaitijos Pienas, one of the largest milk processing companies in Lithuania, founded in 1924. This year they are celebrating 100 years and during all this time they have been producing butter, cottage cheese, cheeses and other dairy products, as well as creating different brands, managing to expand internationally, among which are Pik Nik and Dziugas.

Dziugas cheese is made with only 4 ingredients: milk from free-range cows, rennet, non-animal ferments and salt. It contains no lactose, no preservatives, no artificial flavoring and is also high in protein, rich in calcium and phosphorus and suitable for vegetarians. Its quality and popularity has led it to be recognized with more than 86 international awards, making it the largest product in Lithuania and the Baltic States to win so many awards.

  • 12 months (tender): mild flavor and smell, ideal to accompany fruits, fresh vegetables and snacks. Recommended for breakfast.
  • 18 months (spicy): medium intense flavor, ideal to accompany soups, salads, nuts and grissinis. Recommended for lunch.
  • 24 months (delicate): intense flavor, ideal to eat alone, with coffee, nuts and honey, even to season food. Recommended for dinner.
  • 36 months (gourmet): intense flavor, ideal to eat with nuts and as a snack and appetizer. Recommended to keep active and replenish energy.
